Is the App in an operationally supported state, beyond beta or development versions? (if part of a research project, then the App may not be operationalised in which case evidence of such research usage may be asked to be provided).
The developer shall document evidence that the App is in compliance with ISO/TS 82304-2:2021 Health software — Part 2: Health and wellness Apps — Quality and reliability standard or similar standard.
Is the App technically reliable during usage and is it usable on a wide range of platforms (not just the most recent top-end mobile device)?
The developer shall document evidence of how the App notifies the developer of any crashes, how the user may inform the developer of issues, and how bugs are resolved. The developer shall document any platform restrictions that prohibit the App from being used on devices or operating systems that are outside of the latest update cycle.
Does the App use AI or machine learning, and if so, has it been subjected to examination for biases or training errors?
The developer shall document evidence of efforts to train the AI models with unbiased data and to test for biases appropriate to cultures or communities who may use the App.
If the App uses AI or machine learning, is it compliant with relevant consumer laws and has it been reviewed by expected user communities with respect to unhealthy or unethical behaviours (expected or unexpected).
The developer shall document evidence of efforts to use AI in a manner that is transparent, ethical and not harmful to the user and in alignment with jurisdictional and Commonwealth laws.
Is the App available across different devices, operating systems, and screen sizes for the expected user community?
The developer shall document evidence of compatible platforms that are supported (e.g. by statements on the App stores or websites).
